Thank you for visiting thebabycakeco.co.uk. We hope that you have found the site helpful and easy to navigate. When visiting our website you agree to the terms outlined in this document as follows: We reserve the right to make modifications to any part of this document as necessary to ensure access to the site or to facilitate its use. We reserve the right to change our policies as required. It is the responsibility of the customer to read this document and to accept the terms therein.
Delivery
We pride ourselves in our customer service and quick order turnaround. Most orders ship within 48 hours of being placed with only an additional 2 days required for special orders! To insure safe and reliable delivery of your Baby Cake, all of our products are shipped via Fedex UK and must be signed for at the address to which they are consigned. Once your order is placed, we will make every effort to ship it to you within 2 days.
Consequently the average turnaround time, from the time your order is placed on our website until it is received, is 3 - 4 days. Special orders necessitate an additional 48 hours to prepare and therefore require 2 extra days before it is received. Any order paid for by cheque will not be dispatched until funds have cleared.
Delivery Charges
We use Fedex UK for deliveries and charges are £8.95 per cake.
Postage to the Channel Islands:
We are able to post our baby cakes to the Channel Islands for a price of £8.95. The postage will be via the Royal Mail and will take 5 working days.
Local Deliveries
We can deliver free of charge any cakes within a 15 mile radius of our workshop, please contact us to see if you fall into this area. We can also deliver to POOLE or DORCHESTER Hospitals should this be requested.
Your Right To Cancel
If you decide to cancel after delivery you will be responsible for payment of the return carriage charge. Any product returned to us must be unused and in the same condition and packaging as it was dispatched to you. To avoid this we strongly advise that if you do wish to cancel that you do so before the goods are dispatched to you.
Any amounts that you have been charged will be refunded, less any carriage costs.

Confirmation Of Order and Shipping
On receipt of your order, you will receive an email to confirm its receipt and processing.
You will also receive an email after your order has been shipped. We cannot be held liable for any delays incurred by Fedex UK.
Payments
We accept most major credit cards and debit cards. If you wish to pay by credit or debit card, your card details will be entered on a secure form using 128-bit encryption and securely processed through PAYPAL. We do not have any access to your personal card details.
All credit and debit card payments and refunds are processed through PAYPAL to ensure your card account is correctly and securely debited or credited. If you wish to pay by cheque, you may do so by contacting us by telephone to place your order. Orders paid for by cheque, will not be dispatched until funds have cleared. Once your order has been accepted you will receive an order acknowledgment e-mail, which will be sent to the e-mail address that was given at the time your order was placed.
You agree that all the details that you provide to us for the purpose of purchasing the product offered by us on our website is correct and that the credit or debit card used is your own and that there are sufficient funds or credit available to cover the costs of the product(s) ordered.
Pricing
All prices are presented in pounds sterling and are exclusive of VAT, as we are not currently required to be VAT registered. Prices are clearly shown on our website and do not include charges for postage and packaging, which is listed as a separate additional charge and is added to your total when your order is placed.
We reserve the right to change any pricing on our website as needed, however prices will not be altered on any order after it has been placed and processed through our website or on any telephone orders placed using a debit or credit card. Special orders will be priced on an individual basis depending on the products requested and used.
Product Design and Availability
Images used on our website are used only for illustrative purposes. The photographs shown are representative and while we will make every effort to deliver the products as pictured, actual content style may vary, due to discontinued or unavailable merchandise from our suppliers. Wherever an item has been changed it will be replaced with an item of equal or improved quality. As this would be beyond our control, The Baby Cake Company cannot be held responsible for any disputes arising from this.
We are advised that all our toys are suitable from birth as per British Standards and have purchased them on that understanding. If there is any dispute regarding this, it should be taken up with the manufacturers as we have purchased in good faith.
Returns and Refunds
Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us and we are confident that you will be absolutely thrilled with your Baby Cake Company cake. However, if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase we will offer you a full refund or exchange (excluding the costs of postage and packaging), providing the product is returned in its original wrapped and unused condition within seven days of receipt of the product. Please note that all special order sales are final. You are responsible for the return postage costs and original postage and packaging costs will not be refunded. We cannot offer a refund or exchange on a product if the product is lost in transit back to us. We therefore recommend that you either use a courier company that offers parcel tracking or that you allow us to arrange a collection via Parcel force for the goods to be collected and returned to us.
Website Security
As a secure website, thebabycakeco.co.uk has taken every safeguard to ensure that you are fully protected when shopping online with us. Your credit or debit card data or related information is not stored on our servers or elsewhere on the website.
Overseas Orders
We do not currently ship overseas.

Protecting the privacy of our customers is of utmost importance to us; therefore we will never knowingly disclose your personal information to any third parties, unless it is an essential element in providing efficient customer service to you, for instance to arrange delivery of your order by Parcel Force. In accordance with UK Data Protection legislation, we will follow stringent security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you provide us to prevent unauthorised access. Any personal information that you provide (excluding Credit or Debit Card details) will be retained and used only to process your order and to keep you informed of our new products, special offers and promotions.
